Tewahedo keeps the minimum needed to accompany your practice. This is what happens to your data.

Your account

Sign-in is handled by Clerk. It stores your email address, or your Google account if you sign in with it, and your session. Its cookies are strictly necessary: without them you cannot sign in. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.

Your program

Your city, level of observance, schedule, dispensations, and reminders are stored as private data on your Clerk account. Only the Tewahedo server can read them, and only to work out your day.

Your journal

The hours you note, the fasts you keep and your notes stay on your device, in your browser's storage. They are never sent to a server. If you clear your browser data, your journal is cleared with it.

Photographs

The photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and museum open-access collections. Their authors and licences are listed on the photo sources page.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or delete your account, by writing to [email protected].
